The above is a mix of things I love: collecting images, writing, and now that I have a drawing pad… putting it all together ♡ It’s also an homage to two movies I love: Pride and Prejudice and An Education. I’ve seen a couple of articles about film and style and The Talented Mr Ripley will usually be mentioned, but Carey Mulligan’s character in An Education I think is overlooked. I love her youthful elegance. It’s quite rare I think nowadays. Jenny Walton is the only young style icon I’m aware of who exudes this too and it’s really refreshing. I used to look up to “cool girl” style like Kate Moss, Erin Wasson—but that’s not me. While I can appreciate it, I could never feel myself in it.
Further digging: An Education was based on a book by English author, Lynn Barber. Here’s an excerpt.
